Q |
How do I get my email?
|
|
A |
If you're familiar with your email client's setup, use the
following information to retrieve email from your POP account:
Incoming mail (POP3) server: yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: Use your ISP's outgoing mail
server. If your ISP permits the sending of mail through
server other than their own, you can also use
yourdomain.com as the outgoing mail server.

|
Q |
How soon will my account be set up and ready for use?
|
|
A |
Your site can be uploaded to our servers immediately after
receiving the welcome email, which will contain the address
for your account, plus the password for the username. In
fact, we recommend that clients start uploading their site as
soon as possible after setup is complete, so that once domain
transfer is completed, the site will be available for use by
your visitors. You should receive your welcome e-mail shortly
after signing-up.

|
Q |
Do you offer a money back guarantee?
|
|
A |
Yes. If for any reason
during the first 30 days you are not
completely satisfied with our hosting services, we will
cancel
your account and refund your money for that month's
service. |
|
Q |
Why don't you offer "unlimited bandwidth"?
|
|
A |
Unlimited bandwidth, technically, doesn't exist. Someone has
to pay for the traffic. If you check the fine print of the service
agreements from companies who claim to offer unlimited
bandwidth, you'll most like find that they do charge for traffic
over a certain amount.
|
|
Q |
How fast are your connections?
|
|
A |
The network at the facility where our servers are located is a
mix of Tier 1 bandwidth providers, including Sprint, Qwest,
TimeWarner Telecom (TWC), AT&T, and Level3, with dual-
entry fiber rings. Connectivity is via DS-1s, DS-3s, and OC-
12s provided by the facility operator, and further includes a
private transport network between Jacksonville, Tampa,
Charlotte, and Raleigh.
|
|
Q |
What are your server specifications?
|
|
A |
The standard server type is: dual Xeon 2.4 Ghz processors, 2
G of RAM, and a primary SCSI drive for client data. All
servers run Red Hat Linux and the Apache web server.

|
Q |
What is the path to perl?
|
|
A |
#!/usr/local/bin/perl
Tip: This information is also shown on the main page of our
control panel

|
Q |
Where should I put CGI scripts for my domain?
|
|
A |
All CGI scripts should be uploaded to the cgi-bin folder,
located under the public_html folder, for your domain. Be
sure to follow the instructions for the script you are uploading
regarding setting permissions on the files and folders you
create, as they vary from script to script.
If after you install your script, you receive the
ambiguous "Error 500", double check to make sure you
CHMOD'ed the appropriate folders and files to the correct
permissions. 95% of the time "Error 500" is due to incorrect
permission settings. Refer to the instructions that came with
your script for more information.

|
Q |
I uploaded my files, but I don't see my page?
|
|
A |
Make sure you name your homepage, index.html or
index.htm. We also support index.php and index.shtml.
If you upload your page and it is not showing, please double
check to make sure you have uploaded into the public_html
directory.
If your homepage is not updating with new changes, check to
make sure you don't have both an index.html and an
index.htm file in the directory. The index.html file takes
precedence over the index.htm.
